950 THOUSANDTHS PLATINUM

Platinum is a metal used in its almost pure state, composed of 95% platinum and 5% copper. Platinum has a silvery color. Platinum's unalterable color adds sparkle to the stones in the frame. It has the advantage of being rustproof, anti-allergic and inherently white. It therefore needs no rhodium plating like 18-carat white gold. On the other hand, it is also the most malleable precious metal. It is more sensitive to wear and deformation. If you're hesitating between 18-carat white gold and platinum, we recommend 18-carat white gold. Although platinum has the advantage of a color that doesn't move, it tends to take scratches and micro-impacts more easily than gold. These impacts will always remain slightly visible after cleaning and polishing, which is less the case with white gold.
