Once upon a time in 1927...
Salmon is a family-owned French jewelry house founded in 1927 by Jacques Salmon, son of jeweler Raymond Salmon. Fascinated by his father's trade, he took his turn in the profession. Since the first half of the twentieth century, the workshop has been located on rue du Temple in the heart of historic Paris, in the stronghold of French jewelry expertise, Le Marais. The story begins with creations, repairs and transformations for other jewelry houses.
Family know-how
Frédéric Salmon, Jacques' son, also becomes a jeweler, continuing the family tradition. It's the culmination of a dynamic success story that continues to evolve from one generation to the next. The Salmon family's craftsmanship is increasingly recognized in the industry, thanks to the work they carry out for major jewelry houses and local jewelers.
Visionary and creative by spirit, Frédéric Salmon created the Salmon Bijoux company in 1994, with his father's workshops. A few years later, in 1998, he created the Le Joaillier du Marais brand, with which he launched his first website to present his work and creations to private customers. He is now one of the most avant-garde jewelers in the business.
THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES...
In 2014, the small family business continued to evolve, and it became imperative to move to a more spacious location. The showroom at 30 rue Réaumur in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris was thus born, with a workshop area and discovery of the creations. It's the embodiment of modernity and personalized service. A little later, in February 2018, the company set up shop in Bordeaux, with a showroom in the city center.
Frédéric's son and daughter in turn join the company, starting their adventure in the workshop, then advising customers on jewelry design and supervising production.
In 2023, the company re-adopted the authentic Salmon family name, to highlight the expertise acquired over several generations.
