Since ancient Egyptian times, the human hand has worked metal into the shape of a ring to adorn the finger of a beloved woman... Even today, jewelry-making remains a traditional craft. From the original sketch to the jewel in the box, a sum of specific operations where each person in the workshop masters his or her field of expertise (model maker, caster, jeweler, setter, polisher).

While new technologies now allow us to model digitally, project in 3D and produce the initial wax, there are limits. Once the jewel has been cast in gold, there is no longer any question of a machine; only the craftsman has the knowledge of the precious material. This is where generational know-how comes into its own.
